My mission is to help you achieve yours. Hi, I’m Jill Colby. I work with nonprofits to empower them to more effectively achieve their missions. I’ve spent more than twenty years working for nonprofit organizations. Some of them were large, national organizations, some were regional in scope, and some were local. Most recently, I was a staff of one. Along the way, I noticed that most of these organizations, regardless of size or mission, share a common problem: they do not have enough staff or resources to maximize their potential for success in the work they do in pursuit of their missions. If this is your problem, you know that you’re not alone. But what’s the solution? You need someone more skilled than an intern or entry-level staffer. You need someone you don’t have to manage every step of the way. But you don’t have the need or the budget to hire another part-time or full-time person, and you definitely don’t need a high-priced consultant. What you really need is someone like you...on a temporary basis. This is where I come in. I am a very experienced nonprofit project manager, with expertise in marketing, fundraising, event planning, and operations. Having experience with nonprofit organizations of various sizes serving a wide range of interest areas, I am uniquely positioned to work with you to successfully accomplish a variety of projects. I will collaborate with you to lead your project to successful completion, then my work with you is done. Mission Complete! Whether you need assistance for a few hours, days, weeks, or months, I’m here to help. I do not require that you commit to any minimum number of hours in order to secure my services -- only the time we agree is necessary to successfully execute your project. Making an impact in the community where I live is important to me, and that’s why I choose to work primarily with nonprofit organizations based in the Roanoke Valley and New River Valley in Virginia.
