Our veterinary specialists and support staff are fully committed to the following values: Quality Medicine Compassion Communication Teamwork Education Friendliness This multidisciplinary hospital was created in 2012 by partners of Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston and local partners Tige Witsberger, DVM, DACVS and Jocelyn Cooper, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology) to provide family veterinarians, clients, and patients in the San Antonio area with “Care You Can Count On.” In July 2016, MissionVet and its sister hospitals of Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists and the Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center partnered with the Compassion-First Pet Hospitals to accelerate their growth and network with other best-in-class specialty and emergency hospitals. Then in December 2016, MissionVet acquired Mission Pet Emergency, creating a comprehensive specialty and 24/7 emergency hospital. Additional specialty services offered at MissionVet include critical care, internal medicine, neurology & neurosurgery, oncology and general surgery & orthopedics.
