About Mississippi Community Organization for Rural Development
Mississippi Community Organization for Rural Development (MCORD) is a not-for-profit organization created to provide services and assistance for rural development in the State of Mississippi. MCORD will provide training, counseling, and resource assistance to residents in rural communities who are interested in homeownership, community improvement, and business development, all at no cost to them. Initially the organization will provide financial management training to prospective homeowners who currently reside in apartments or low-income housing. In addition, life-skills training, job readiness training, and even GED preparation will be provided to those who desire to become more marketable and employable.
