Revolutionizing Rural Healthcare, Transforming Lives Mission Statement: To bridge the healthcare gap in rural India by providing accessible, affordable, and quality medical care, ensuring every individual has the opportunity to lead a healthy and dignified life. Founded in 2016 by MD Ishak Khan, a dedicated teacher from Chhattisgarh, Mitaan Foundation emerged from the realization that rural areas severely lacked basic healthcare and sanitation. Witnessing a neighbor's health struggle, he sought alternative treatments, improving lives, particularly burn contracture patients. In 2021, the mission expanded with Mrinal Mahajan, a social activist known for his work with marginalized communities. Based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Mitaan Foundation operates in Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and West Bengal. Our team of 15 core volunteers and 150 Mitaan Squad volunteers support patients with rare diseases, creating a strong support system. Many rural residents are unaware of available government healthcare schemes due to poor connectivity. Mitaan Foundation addresses this by running awareness campaigns and medical camps in remote villages and tribal areas. We conduct one camp monthly across four states, offering free medical services to 700-1000 people per camp. Our efforts include distributing pamphlets and addressing common health issues like UTIs. We help people with medical ailments with government and non-government support.
