Mary Logan, MPA,MA, LMHC is a psychotherapist in private practice in Amesbury, MA. She is also an avid gardener and dog lover, both of which can cause pleasant interruptions in her private practice. Her diverse background (having come to the therapy field later in life) and coming from a large family with many siblings, nieces and nephews, means she finds it easy to relate to a wide variety of people. Mary’s approach is down to earth, humorous, and kind. Prior to working as a psychotherapist the past 6 years, Mary worked as a manager, consultant, landscaper, university instructor, basketball and field hockey coach, life coach, and at one time owned a Donut Shop. Her focus is working with couples who have one foot out the door, meaning they are irritated, frustrated, and finding daily existence to be more troublesome than joyful. She is well known for her short term work with couples who are thinking of separating or divorcing. Sometimes, even in the most difficult situations, remaining civil and kind to each other can make the process of parting easier. Mary is well versed on issues and treatment protocols for alcohol and opiate addiction, co-dependence, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, communciation and stress problems. Additionally, Mary’s belief and general feeling that everything is a process, underscores her ability to empower others to understand and strengthen their ability to become unstuck.
