MMS was established in 1988 and is located on the River Humber, on the East coast of the UK. The company comprises of a shipyard; MMS Ship Repair & Dry Dock Co Ltd and operates workboats; MMS Offshore Renewable Services Ltd. MMS can provide an extensive range of high quality marine services focused on the Humber region and its local ports of Hull, Grimsby and Immingham. MMS Ship Repair offers clients two dry docks 150 x 19 metres, substantial quay space of 200 metres and a new build construction hall 30 x 10 metres. In addition there are fully equipped workshops and a comprehensive range of machinery and equipment with a directly employed workforce who have extensive experience in steelwork and fabrications, engineering and fitting, blasting and painting, pipework and carpentry. To date the company has dry docked over 1,000 vessels, carried out over 8,500 separate repair contracts and built numerous workboats in both steel and aluminium. MMS Offshore Renewable Services Ltd own and operate an expanding fleet of versatile workboats, built in-house by the shipyard. This company was established to support local offshore windfarms and marine civil projects. The two companies combined can offer a full logistics package which is ideally suited for local offshore mobilisation and marine civil projects. Our headquarters has temporary offices, parking, secure storage for containers and equipment, crane and forklifts, vessel mooring, alongside load out facilities all in an enclosed dock which offers no rise or fall of the tide.
