About Mobal

It all came about through one man’s desire to make calls whilst travelling. Whether for recreational or business trips the need to keep in touch with the people that mattered, family, friends, business contacts, spawned the creation of Mobal. Mobal was founded in 1989, considering that Cingular was only founded in 2001, Verizon in 2000 and T-Mobile in 1995 this puts our long history in to perspective. Our aim is simple - to provide US travellers with a low commitment, high convenience solution to keep in touch whilst overseas. And there are lots of organisations that think we do a good job! We have received plenty of plaudits from the media, including: Time Magazine, Budget Travel, The Wall Street Journal and washingtonpost.com. However, it’s our customers that really matter. Providing the likes of Coca-Cola, AIG, Morgan Stanley and ABC News with the products and services that they can rely on.
