About MobileHealth Foundation
Always there, always with you... The MobileHealth NL foundation researches and develops mobile services and applications for healtcare and well-being. MobileHealth works with technology partners, mobile network operators, research institutes, and healthcare organizations, based on open innovation. Sweetmotion is a unique combination of coaching, rewarding, learning, planning and reporting for children with diabetes, their parents and the doctors/diabetes teams. It uses the child’s mobile phone to attractively remind the daily and strict events of eating, measuring, injecting and exercising. Every confirmation is rewarded and synchronises with the web site that is monitored by the parents. No timely confirmation, or a reported value that is out of a set range, will trigger an alarm by SMS to the parents. The doctors and parents create the daily planners as a compulsory therapy, and fill the events with preset values on a web site calendar. This web site synchronises with the app on the child’s phone and shows the feedback and confirmed events. The child has the possibility to confirm at once, or change values of meals (carbohydrates), exercises (low, moderate, severe), glucoses levels and injection values. The patient can also enter new events, e.g. a snack. Carbohydrates are derived from an official table, based on standard products and portions. The rewards are collected and can be changed into music, game or SMS-credits.
