About Modern Change
Something in your life is not working for you anymore. People come to therapy because some sort of change is necessary. Change can be a scary word for many people, but as a therapist I hope to help you achieve change in order to liberate you from whatever is keeping you stuck. Change is possible with some help. I work with families, couples, adolescents and adults. I specialize in relationship issues and substance use. I especially enjoy working with families whose lives have been impacted by addiction. As a team, we are more powerful in creating change and breaking the cycles of addiction. Family members often feel lost and confused when someone they love is abusing substances. That’s where I come in. As a licensed clinical addiction specialist, I have the tools to help you gain knowledge, set boundaries and change your behaviors in order to break these cycles. Even in the absence of substance abuse, relationships are hard. As licensed professional counselor I have also gained a passion for helping couples improve their relationships. In today’s world couples spend thousands of dollars on weddings, but rarely make the investment in preparing their relationships for life long commitment. I offer premarital counseling to help you do just that. Together we will explore key relationship dynamics from communication styles, boundaries and behavior patterns.
