Direct primary care means that your doctor works for you–not third-party payers like insurance companies or the government, so decisions about your care will be made by you and your doctor. DPC also give you extra time and easy access to your doctor, and you can receive care via the most appropriate venue — not just the office visits that insurers will pay for.
