Founded on the 1st of January 2012 by Gianni Cito and Ludo Grooteman, two refreshing though experienced architects. Moke is an office for architecture, urbanism and concept development. The office designs high-end buildings and urban plans. It focuses specifically on the design of schools and social housing. Their portfolio varies from a luxurious villa at the Cotê d'Azure to social housing in a facetted tower in Nijmegen, and from a gallery interior in New York to a school in Groningen. Moke is involved in the development of various urban plans, often including regeneration, re-use and mixed programme. Most of these urban plans involve participation of users and neighborhood during the design process. Moke develops spatial concepts. It has expertise in the development of a strong site identity and combines that to general project feasibility. Identity and hardcore excel charts go hand in hand. Moke enjoys intense collaboration. It appreciates the expertise brought in by the client and all advisors and it believes that the collective effort leads to the best possible projects.
