MoleHole is a brand with a generational story. It all started when my mum wrote and illustrated a book for her grandchildren and then used the MoleHole name for the clothing and sewing projects she made. Today, MoleHole continues to embody that same spirit of love and creativity, offering unique and handmade pet accessories. MoleHole pet accessories was born out of the frustration in not being able to find a creative, fun, quirky and above all functional collar and leash for my dogs. In South Africa, the choices are rather limited and what there is is mass produced or poor quality and not durable. Poppy my German Shorthaired Pointer, was the chief motivation in starting a line of collars. GSP's are a hunting breed of dog and consequently, it is not in their genetics to be stuck to your side, walking calmly on a leash. She used to pull so hard on the leash her tongue would turn blue and her breathing was affected. A martingale collar helped enormously along with training but the wider collar is also a factor in the success I have with her. Being an animal lover, it is important to me that my product is made from sustainable materials and as much as possible, environmental impact is minimised. I've done a lot of experimenting with waterproofing and various types of fabric to ensure that not only are our products environmentally friendly but durable as well. Thereby reducing the throw away culture that comes with mass produced products. Our family-owned business is dedicated to providing bespoke, high-end items at an affordable price.
