Monere’s NiADA (Non-Invasive Anemia Detection with AI) offers a smartphone-based solution for integrated anemia screening and self-monitoring. Currently, approximately 430 million women use health apps to track menstrual cycles, pregnancy, and related health factors, with over 70 million active users each month. During menstruation and pregnancy, women are at high risk of iron deficiency, which, if left unaddressed, can progress to anemia. While most tracking apps monitor menstrual cycles, they lack built-in anemia screening, leading to underdiagnosis and delayed intervention. This delay contributes to productivity loss, increased disability, preterm births, cognitive impairment, and a reduced quality of life for women and their children. In the U.S. alone, 40% of girls and young women are at risk of iron deficiency anemia. There is an urgent need for an integrated, smartphone-based self-monitoring tool that enables frequent, painless anemia screening. Early detection and timely intervention can help prevent or reverse anemia, improving women’s health outcomes and safeguarding the well-being of their children. By bridging this gap, NiADA has the potential to revolutionize women’s health monitoring and management.
