About Monica Ros School

Monica Ros is a Pre-K to Third Grade independent school located in Ojai’s East End. An accredited member of the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS), Monica Ros has been serving the Ojai Valley community since 1942. Our mission is to expand a young child’s natural passion for learning in a setting that celebrates Ojai’s natural beauty. Our curriculum builds a child’s confidence both in the classroom and out in the world, inspiring a lifetime of discovery. We are committed to providing a high-quality program for all of our students. We recognize each child as a unique individual engaged in the process of learning and growing. We are committed to providing developmentally appropriate activities designed to stimulate interest and learning. Children learn best from “doing.” Therefore we organize our curriculum to allow for hands-on experiences with a rich variety of materials. We help all of the children experience success in interactions with their peers and other adults and guide them in the process of socialization. We welcome all parents and caregivers into our classrooms and believe in ongoing communication between home and school. We foster creativity and cherish this special time in the lives of young children. At Monica Ros, we instill a welcoming environment of collaboration and community through celebration of our shared common humanity and the beautiful differences in all of us.
