About Monroe County Meals On Wheels

Church Women United organized Monroe County’s first and only Meals on Wheels program in 1972 with the support of the Monroe County Clergy Association. In October of that year, Monroe County Meals on Wheels began delivering meals to 11 clients in Stroudsburg with the assistance of various county groups, including Visiting Nurse, AARP, MH-MR, and the Cooperative Extension Service. In 2024, our +200 volunteers deliver to +500 clients using +21 routes throughout Monroe County, PA.
