About Monroe Truck and Auto Accessories
The Company was formed in 1967 by Donald E Monroe with building custom campers and manufacturing trailers. His purpose was to build a small business on selling and making quality products at affordable prices for his customers. In 1996 his son Don Monroe Jr. and his wife Sue took over the business and established Monroe Custom Campers, Inc as a S-corporation. For many years a major part of the business was building aluminum toppers and custom campers. The business has evolved over the years, and as the sales of those things dwindled, the sales of other types of truck accessories have boomed. Because of this, in 2007 we changed our name to Monroe Truck and Auto Accessories. We thought it better reflected what type of business we are, and what type of products we sell. We have also expanded and remodeled our building several times to accommodate to our expanding business, even though many people still call us Monroe Custom Campers, Inc. In 2011 We started West Michigan Golf Carts which also is a DBA of Monroe Custom Campers, Inc. In 2015 Nicholas and Michael had purchased the business from Donald L Monroe. The company owners today are Nicholas Monroe, President, and Michael Monroe, Vice President. The Company currently employs 16 full-time employees.
