Monte das Casolas is a picturesque rural retreat nestled in the serene countryside near the town of Grândola, Portugal. Surrounded by rolling hills, and lush green landscapes, this enchanting destination offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. This former farm has been abandoned for over 40 years and offers a blend of rustic charm and modern comforts. The small houses, nestled within the serene countryside, were built on the land without interfering with the existing trees, thus avoiding profound changes in the topography and to enjoy the landscape without interference. The distance between the access road and the houses is done on foot, but will not exceed 30m. Cars will be parked along the service road, with parking close to each house. A more sustainable perspective (with a clear and assumed focus on reducing waste, reuse and recycling) and a healthier future (organic products grown on the farm, probiotic products, among others). There are 8 Casolas scattered throughout the hills, five in wood and all with 3 bedrooms. One of them, Casa do Monte (with 2 bedrooms only), maintained its typical Alentejo structure, with the wood oven and an animal shelter converted into an annex (with additional 3 bedrooms). The property itself boasts a huge outdoor space, providing opportunities for relaxation and enjoyment of the surrounding countryside. There is a round swimming pool where guests can take a refreshing dip or lounging areas to soak up the sun. We welcome families, retreats, corporate meetings, small events.
