About Monthaven Arts & Cultural Center
The Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center (MACC) is Sumner County’s premier arts organization. A nonprofit launched in 2017 and located in Hendersonville, Tenn., the MACC offers art classes and stages world-class art exhibitions in our headquarters at Monthaven Mansion, a spectacular antebellum home built in the 1850s. Once serving as a field hospital during the Civil War, Monthaven’s galleries and halls now exist to create vibrant arts and cultural experiences for people of all ages. Our Vision The vision of the Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center is to be a creative town square that inspires everyone to indulge their imaginations and be their best. Our Mission The mission of the Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center is to educate, elevate and encourage our community through the transformative power of the arts. What We Believe The MACC believes that the arts are for everyone, and it is therefore committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community. Our exhibitions and outreach programs are all offered free of charge. And we routinely engage with youth, seniors, residents with mental and physical disabilities, and families of color at a substantially higher rate than the county demographic. The MACC’s goal is to serve our community through culturally enriching exhibitions, art classes, outreach programs and the healing arts. We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, so your generous gifts in support of our programs are all tax deductible.
