MONTREAL 1862 RUGBY A Tribute to a Rich Rugby Heritage In 1862, the first game of rugby in Canada took place in Montreal. In 1868, the first rugby club in Canada, Montreal FC now Westmount RFC was born. In 1874, the first international rugby match in North America, McGill University of Montreal against Harvard was played in Cambridge Massachusetts, USA. Our vision is to create an elite program that unites and showcases Montreal's most talented and passionate rugby players, from youth to seasoned athletes. We aim to provide a platform that supports players reaching their full potential, whether that be playing for their local club or school, Rugby Quebec, Canada's National teams or professional rugby. Our mission is through an honest and collaborative approach to foster excellence, build connections and encourage growth as we continue to build a legacy that inspires current and future generations while strengthening the bond between our organization and the broader Montreal community.
