Montverde Academy is an international, coeducational, independent college preparatory school for grades PK3-12, with our boarding program serving grades 7-12, and post-graduate studies. Our mission is to inspire students to become knowledgeable leaders with global vision that instills a passion for learning, and that nurtures character development in a disciplined and diverse community. Principles of knowledge, character, and community are illustrated in the classroom through Subject Area Concentration diplomas, as well as Advanced Placement and Honors courses. 84% of AP students earned qualifying scores. Our students have a 100% college acceptance rate, including prestigious schools such as Harvard, Yale, MIT, Princeton, and UC Berkeley. Opening on September 23, 1912 in a two-room wooden building, the Academy now educates nearly 1,300 students, including more than 350 boarding students from across the United States and 80 countries worldwide. Our 125-acre campus includes a 15-acre athletic field that includes a 400-meter running track, soccer field, baseball diamond, and eight tennis courts. Our state-of-the-art athletic facility includes an eight-lane track with a field used by our 6x #1 nationally ranked soccer team, tennis courts, baseball, softball and practice fields.
