About Moores Opera Center
Moores Opera Center is a training company for the opera students of University of Houston's Moores School of Music. We produce four fully-staged, student-cast productions per year, always including one production of a recently-composed opera. Our alumni have gone on to sing at the major opera houses of the world, receive recording contracts, and garner the world's top prizes in music, such as recent Grammy-winner and alumnus Jessica Jones. Moores Opera Center gives students a comprehensive understanding of the process and business of the opera world, preparing them to be the next stars and innovators of operatic theatre.
