At Moorkamp & Arthur Family dentistry we believe that preventative dentistry and education are key to health-centered dentistry. In health-centered dentistry we give you, our patient control describing an “owners manual” for your mouth. Our model of health-centered dentistry is different than more common models of disease control. In a health-centered model of dentistry we are dedicated to educating and helping our patients prevent the need for extensive dental work. In most dental offices problems are fixed after they happen and no thought about what can be done to prevent the need for dental treatment in the first place. We are committed to working with our patients to achieve the level of health they want. The relationship our dental team has with patients is key in our health-centered model. We rely on the ability to coach patients and let the patients be active in achieving their dental health. Our goal is to give patients the ability to determine what level of oral health they would like to achieve. Working with our dental team patients are able to set their goals and select the level of health they would like to obtain.
