The Moose & Squirrel Medical Clinic is a collaborative, team-based family medicine clinic located in Sundre, Alberta. Our vision is to become known as Alberta's leading rural family medicine clinic. Our team includes experienced family physicians and nurses and highly trained staff who work together to provide world-class medical care in accordance with recognized best practices. We develop and use strategies to ensure that our patients have timely access to care. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive care that brings into play all aspects of health; this includes preventative health monitoring and working with our patients to promote healthy lifestyles. We recognize that physicians, nurses and other health professionals bring different skills to patient care, and by working together we can provide better care of our patients than any of us could on our own. Teaching and mentorship play a vital role in our practice, and we strive to be known as the pre-eminent site in rural Alberta for teaching medical students, family medicine residents, and other learners in the health professions. We believe that teaching and mentorship help us to identify and groom future colleagues for rewarding careers as rural family doctors. We also believe in the importance of a formal and strong mentorship program for new physicians entering practice, and provide a supportive, nurturing environment for all team members as they begin their careers.
