About More Than Fitness
More Than Fitness is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to equip people with the tools to build strong bodies, resilient minds, and unbreakable spirits. Located on an 8-acre property within a New Castle County park, our facilities include open green spaces, an in-ground pool, two baseball fields, a historic home converted into office space, and a 3,000-square-foot gym housed in a renovated garage. Our programs take a holistic approach to wellness, combining fitness and mindfulness practices to empower individuals to take control of their lives and manage challenges with confidence. We offer a safe and supportive environment for youth and adults to build physical strength and mental resilience. More Than Fitness was founded by Jeremy "Coach" Moore, whose experiences shaped the foundation of the organization. Coach Moore began his nonprofit work at age 11 as a volunteer at United Cerebral Palsy of Delaware’s Camp Manito, eventually becoming Camp Director. His work with youth with disabilities, coaching high school sports, and his own journey through physical and mental recovery led to the creation of More Than Fitness, blending all of these experiences into a unique and impactful program.
