About More Than Sex-Ed, a project of Community Partners
A Los Angeles-based nonprofit educational outreach project of Community Partners®. We are here to facilitate honest conversations. Human sexuality is diverse and complex and an essential and positive aspect of our humanity. Comprehensive, inclusive, and fact-based understanding of human sexuality gives us tools to redress many negative sexual attitudes, behaviors, and consequences in our culture. We believe: - Kids can learn to be responsible for their own sexuality without shame. -Knowledge is power and kids have the right to have their questions answered. -Sexuality is a fulfilling and positive aspect of being alive. - Sexual relationships should be caring and honest, and never exploitative or coercive. - All people regardless of their backgrounds, abilities, biological sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation should have equal rights and deserve equal respect. - Sexual relationships should be appropriate to the developmental level and maturity of the individuals. - It is healthiest for young teens to postpone sexual intercourse.
