About Morizzo Foundation

The Morizzo Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization raising awareness of Glioblastoma, funding research efforts, and providing support to patients and their families in an effort to ensure equitable access to treatments. Glioblastoma (GBM) is one of the most complex, aggressive, and treatment-resistant cancers, and its causes are unclear. GBM accounts for 50.1% of all primary malignant brain tumors. The five-year survival rate for GBM is only 6.9%, with the average estimated to be just between 8 and 15 months. There is no cure and no reliable path to long-term remission. The Morizzo Foundation believes this can change, and that starts with research and awareness. The decades of research and advancements in the understanding and treatment of cancer has not extended to glioblastoma. This cancer has been incredibly overlooked, and research inordinately underfunded. Our mission is simple but urgent; to raise awareness, to fund crucial research efforts, and to provide vital support to patients and their families, ensuring equitable access to life-saving treatments. Since being established in 2024, The Morizzo Foundation has provided over $150,000 to glioblastoma-specific research projects and patient support initiatives globally.
