About MorphFit Gentle Movement Project
The award winning MorphFit Gentle Movement Project exists to enhance treatment, outcomes and wellbeing of special population groups through light exercise delivered both online and onsite. As a social enterprise the core of our work is funded however we also deliver commissioned programmes for clients. We deliver gentle movement courses to the elderly, carers, those suffering isolation and all age groups with acknowledged health conditions. Sessions are centred around chair- based and where appropriate standing exercises. Group classes last for 45 minutes and are adapted to meet the needs of each individual, blocks run for 9 consecutive weeks. Exercise is an all-powerful medicine for many common health concerns- releasing tension and stress, exercise boosts physical and mental energy, and enhances well-being through the release of endorphins. “Other classes and gyms can be intimidating, attending those in the past I’ve felt like people are judging me, but I don’t feel like that with MorphFit, it’s so inclusive, I’m very comfortable in those sessions”. “They improve my physical and mental health”. “It allows me to connect with new people and form friendships” “It’s a way to improve my body and mind whilst having fun with others at the same time”
