MORPHY, MAKOFSKY, INC. is an organization of professional engineers offering a full range of civil, structural, and foundation engineering. Its consulting services include design, studies, estimates, and contract administration. The firm is located in New Orleans, Louisiana and has provided services throughout most of the United States. When Morphy, Makofsky, Inc. was formed in 1975, its principals had worked together over a span of 25 years in associations where they were either part owners and/or held responsible technical positions. Today, the organization is composed of a carefully selected team of professionals, including the current leadership team of President Jamie Saxon, P.E., Secretary/Treasurer Jon Sofranko, P.E., and Vice-President Stephan Bernick P.E. At MMI, we take pride in producing thorough, well thought out designs and construction documents. Locally, this begins with obtaining unique site information as provided through geotechnical reports. Combined with our vast library of construction documents and site information which dates back to the 1940’s, we are always able to make the correct foundation design. Our diligence in design continues throughout the superstructure, accounting for all code required gravity, wind, seismic and flood loading for all structural elements and connections.
