Founded in 1973, Morrison Institute of Technology remains a premier Engineering Technology and Network Administration College in the Midwest. Morrison Tech is a private not-for-profit college that offers an Associate's in Applied Science to their graduates. The college is accredited by ABET (Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology) one of very few two-year schools in the nation with this honor. The uniqueness of Morrison Tech is the hands on approach to education and its family atmosphere, not found at bigger colleges. The focused curriculum provides the college with a 97% career placement rate and an average starting salary of $50,000. Graduates are also able to transfer to many four-year colleges to obtain their Bachelor’s Degree. Morrison Tech has been ranked #1 for Return on Investment for two-year colleges in the Midwest by the Chicago Tribune and nominated in the top 100 for the Chicago Innovation Awards. The college houses an 8000 square foot Innovation Center that contains a Maker Space, 3D Printing and Prototyping Lab, various CNC machinery and a state of the art wood shop.
