About Mosaic Health Center
Mosaic Health Center (MHC) is the premier primary and preventative health care provider for uninsured individuals in our community. Founded in 2015, the clinic has since served over 7,000 uninsured individuals in and around Clarkston, GA— known as the most diverse square-mile in the United States. Formally known as the Clarkston Community Health Center, MHC was founded out of an incredible need for health care access in Clarkston. Founders Mr. Saeed Raees, Dr. Gulshan Harjee, Dr. Arshed Quyyumi, and the late Reverend Ben Johnson launched the clinic to provide compassionate and comprehensive services to community residents where a third of the population lives in poverty and nearly a quarter have no health insurance. The clinic has since provided health care services to a diverse group of individuals with a focus on being patient centered and culturally competent. Today, MHC operates with a talented and diverse team of staff and volunteers that collectively speaks 14 languages and has years of medical experience and expertise. MHC believes that health care is a human right, and thanks to the incredible support of donors and dedicated volunteers, we’ve impacted the lives of those within our community, showing them dignity and compassion through our services. Through our work, MHC addresses the social and systemic inequities found in the United States’ broken health care system, which is currently not working for far too many – particularly those without health insurance. We work to pick up the pieces of that system and put them back together for people in need.
