About Mosh For Youth
Mosh For Youth is a 501(c)(3) organization that hosts hardcore and punk shows to raise scholarship money for students of East LA and Pomona. We believe in the power of the HC community when coming together to help communities in need. We know that cost of college tuition and materials, such as books, is often what gets in the way of low income students from pursuing a college degree. The communities of Pomona and East LA have lower college degree attainment rates than the national and state averages. This is not for a lack of ability, but for a lack of resources. We want to help. We want to alleviate the stress of money for students that want to pursue college. We know that we may not be able to cover tuition, but covering a semester or year of books would help out immensely. We believe in the hardcore and punk community to help out in this journey to try to make the world a more equitable place.
