About Motown Rising

Motown Rising employs over 30 Detroiters to rehab blighted homes. As community growth investors we do things differently. We understand that our success relies on the well-being of our community. Through our sister organizations, NEST Org and Motown Rising, we are improving Detroit neighborhoods and the lives of their residents. We target homes that may otherwise be demolished; historic homes that are unsafe & neglected. We specialize in transformative restorations, meaning we can tackle projects that others turn away. Our rehabs are cost-effective, yet design-focused; we take pride in our aesthetic. Our operations have saved homes from demolition, helped increase property values for long-time residents, as well as rents and residential density, and brought renewed pride of ownership to a hard-hit neighborhood. As a community partner with the Detroit Land Bank Authority, we assist in their mission to return vacant homes to productive use.
