About Mouhit Space
Mouhit is an art space based in Tunis which supports creative practitioners at all levels of their career by offering a convivial environment for reflection, artistic experimentation, and self development. At Mouhit, we believe that feedback culture and critical thinking constitute the core of nurturing arts practice, hence we work with mentors from different backgrounds to support artists during their residency. At the same time, Mouhit offers tools for artists to organize their stay in a self-directed way. To us, sharing and accessibility are important values, thus we encourage artists to engage with the public during their residency period by offering experiences, open studios, and activities of their choice. Mouhit strives to become a bridge between Tunisian and international artists by fostering dialogues and exchanges. We support artists in residence by embedding them into international art communities, assisting them with grant writing and initiating collaborations with other residencies.
