About Mount Ascutney Regional Commission
The Mount Ascutney Regional Commission (MARC) was created, in accordance with 24 V.S.A. Chapter 117 Subchapter 3, by the ten towns it serves to cultivate vibrant, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable communities; to foster economic prosperity; and to promote a high quality of life for residents of the region. This mission will be accomplished by helping towns to provide effective local governance, working collaboratively with towns to address regional issues, advocating for adherence to adopted regional goals and policies, and facilitating effective communications between local, state, and federal levels of government.
