About Mountain Peak Charter School

Mountain Peak Charter School (MPCS) is a CA non-profit, independent, K-12 public educational institution based in Vista, CA, with extensive operations stretching across San Diego, Orange, and Riverside counties. We started operations in the Fall of 2009, having received approval for our charter petition from Mountain Empire School District in East San Diego County. We strongly believe in supporting a wide range of individualized approaches to authentic learning, and offer a number of compelling educational programs, such as home school (TK-12) and a Spanish / English dual language academy (K-8). Currently, we are in the process of securing WASC accreditation, and are a member of the CA Charter Schools Association.
