About Mountain West Truck Center

Mountain West Truck Center was established on December 21, 2001. Previously, we were Salt Lake City Mack Sales & Service, Inc. Mountain West Truck Center is a product of two well known and established heavy-duty truck dealerships. The merger of Mack Trucks Inc and Volvo Trucks North America brought Mountain West Truck Center together. Volvo Global Trucks, AB purchased Renault Vehicles Inc. (R.V.I.) in December 2000. Mack Trucks Inc. was a wholly owned subsidiary of R.V.I. Salt Lake City Mack Sales & Service was established in August of 1989. Ron Johnson, President and C.E.O. of Mountain West Truck Center, purchased a distributorship from Mack Trucks Inc. Salt Lake City Mack purchased Volvo and GMC trucks of Utah in December 2001. With the acquisition, we are Salt Lake City Mack Sales & Service, Inc. d.b.a. Mountain West Truck Center. Mountain West Truck Center is located just off Utah Highway 201. Our hours of operation in the Parts and Service departments are from 6:00 am until Midnight Monday thru Friday and Saturday 8:00 am until 3:00 pm. Mountain West Truck Center offers factory - trained technicians in Mack and Volvo. In addition, we are an authorized Cummins warranty and service center. Our service department has the ability to handle any maintenance need that may arise in the trucking industry. Our service department has 24 hour 7 days a week call out service for the unexpected emergency.
