About Move For Life
Move For Life are all about empowering children through dance and yoga. We have worked with Hong Kong's most prestigious International Schools and Kindergartens and other educators for the past 7 years and have long standing relationships with all of them, as we understand schools, kids, teachers and what gets a child excited about moving. Our adaptable and personable team members are trained under professional and former world top ten Ballroom Dancer and TV's Dancing with the stars choreographer, Joshua Keefe. We have 3 main groups that we work with. Little Movers (kindergarten / preschool kids aged 2-6) Move Monkeys (Primary School kids aged 5-12) Koala Bop (Special Education Needs kids aged 5-20) Each group has very different and specific needs that we have tailored our courses and mode of teaching around. Our dance courses for kids use a style of teaching called "Multi Dance" which exposes children to various techniques and styles of dance to give them a broad range of skills and open their minds to many types of dance, movement, music and ways to work with teams. partners and themselves. We use elements of Latin, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary and Kpop to influence our classes. Yoga is focussed on our Little Movers age group. We use engaging stories and games to get kids buzzing about yoga. We also include big themes in our fun games and stories so kids get thinking, and we take time to do some mindfulness activities during class, to encourage calm in the day. Our courses have taken years of planning and development and constant reassessing to get them to the standard we have now, and more is yet to come with some great new things in the pipe line.
