About Move Forward MN
Founded in 1990, Move Forward is a nonprofit organization providing housing case management and mental health therapy services to youth ages 11-24 in the west metro. Homelessness prevention programs include case management, drop in and outreach services, schools to housing, and a scattered site transitional living program. Mental health services are school and community based, increasing access to quality mental health care and reducing barriers related to finances, childcare, limited social support, transportation, and stigma. The majority of participants identify with BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ communities and are often uninsured or underinsured. Move Forward promotes trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based approaches.
