About Move into Wellbeing® Registered Charity 1172264

Move Into Wellbeing is a charity based in West London that provides bespoke weekly dance, movement and exercise classes for people living with Parkinson’s and other mobility restrictions. Now online as well as in class. All of our classes are chair based and all material can be adapted to suit individual needs; key to our programme is enabling attendees to participate and move within their physical limitations. Research has shown that dancing and moving to music is particularly important in helping with co-ordination, flexibility, strength, fitness, balance, confidence and overall wellbeing. As such one of our aims is to provide classes that will enable participants to maintain and improve the management of daily tasks that may be challenging given their mobility restrictions. Further to this, we aim to provide a community for the participants where they have fun, are able to develop friendships, interact socially and stay connected to others outside of their immediate social circle. There are many therapeutic benefits of dance and movement and we hear regularly from our participants as to how this enables them to cope with their condition.
