About Movement For Life Physiotherapy
In 2004 Darwin Private Physiotherapy was acquired by Physiotherapist's Nick and Sally Jones. Located within Darwin Private Hospital since the early 1990's, Darwin Private Physiotherapy employed 2.5 FTE physiotherapists, servicing inpatients in the private hospital and running a small outpatient clinic. Over the following 3 years, the clinic focused on improving referrals into their outpatient clinic. In 2007 Darwin Private Physiotherapy added the slogon 'Movement For Life' to their logo, before changing their business name in 2009 to Movement For Life Physiotherapy. Today, MFL Physiotherapy employs 7 FT Physiotherapists across two locations in Coconut Grove and Rosebery. Our primary business is physiotherapy, including sports injuries, motor vehicle accident rehabilitation, workers compensation, hydrotherapy, women's health, clinical pilates and orthpaedic rehabilitation. Movement For Life Physiotherapy remains the only QIP Accredited Physiotherapy clinic in the Top End. MFL Physiotherapy works closely with numerous sports clubs including: All NT Hockey squads, Tiwi Bombers, South Darwin Rugby Union, Netball NT and NT School Sport. We have a strong belief that functional rehabilitation is the key to reducing the chances of re-injury in the future. Movement For Life Physiotherapy's vision is to be recognized as a dynamic, progressive company, national in scope, and at the forefront of clinical practice and client care.
