About Moving Elders

Moving Elders is a senior move management company based in Austin and serving Central Texas. We specialize in moving senior citizens and their cherished possessions with sensitivity towards the years of memories accumulated in their current home. We help seniors who are downsizing to a smaller home or retirement community and need assistance to sort what they will take, what will be sold and what will be passed on to relatives and friends. Then we pack with care and transport your possessions to your new home. Once there we will unpack and set up your new home. We can: • Plan, schedule and manage the move. • Arrange for disconnection and reconnection of utilities, cable service and mail delivery, newspaper. • Prepare a floor plan for the furniture to determine beforehand what items will fit. • Arrange for an estate sale, auction, donation pickup, or even shipment of that special family heirloom • Pack and unpack household contents. • Disassemble and assemble household items and connect electronics and appliances. • Set up your new home after the move, making the new home feel comfortable. We’ll even hang the pictures and make the bed. • Make minor repairs that might be needed to the new and existing homes prior to listing or move in. • Clean the old home prior to listing or closing.
