About MRC CoRE - Therapeutic Genomics
The Medical Research Council Centre of Research Excellence in Therapeutics Genomics (MRC CoRE TG) is one of the first cohort of MRC CoREs to be established in the UK. We aim to revolutionise how therapies are identified, developed, and brought to the clinic for rare genetic disorders of the blood, eyes, and brain. Our team of outstanding international experts and multiple industry partners will focus on genome-targeted therapies, including CRISPR-based genome editing and Antisense Oligonucleotides (ASOs), that use genetic code to target specific genes. We will also prime the clinical landscape required to bring genome-targeted therapies to the clinic, in collaboration with stakeholders and patients. MRC CoRE TG is a collaboration between the University of Oxford, University College London, Newcastle University, University of California - Berkely Innovative Genomics Institute, University of California - San Francisco, Bexorg, Genomics England, Intella Therapeutics, The Jackson Laboratory, EveryONE Medicines, Danaher/IDT and La Jolla Labs.
