About MRG Studio
MRG Studio brings together landscape architecture and horticulture, architecture and urban design in the service of landscape and public space design. Most of our projects are urban and complex, creating landscapes around, on top of and within buildings. These include public realm and landscape masterplans, courtyards and streetscapes, terraces and internal gardens. Our strength lies in the integration of our core disciplines throughout the design and construction process: balancing instant impact with long-term sustainability, we conceive, detail and deliver high quality landscapes that last. Close collaborations with the architects and engineers enable us to develop designs with technical and commercial confidence, from feasibility to construction. We value open, clear communication and we organise our workflows to help make this coordination seamless. We are currently designing external and internal public spaces on various commercial developments led by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris Architects and a new garden at the Woolbeding National Trust with Heatherwick Studio. In London, we are working with Morris + Company on new residential developments and with Matthew Lloyd Architects on a regeneration scheme for Tybalds Estate. With Knight Architects we are designing the landscape at Tide Mills Bridge in the South Downs National Park and in 2017 we collaborated on the specimen design of acoustic walls for HS2. With Walters & Cohen we delivered a landscape masterplan for Newton Prep School in London, which included an EYFS playground that was completed in 2018. Our first built project was the landscape of the Kingston Quaker Centre in South-West London, which jointly won the 2015 ACE/RIBA award for religious architecture. Our landscape design for the JCDecaux flagship project in London, led by Zaha Hadid Architects, is now completed and with 7N Architects we delivered the landscape masterplan of India Quay, a 3.3ha mixed-use development in Edinburgh.
