About MRIA - Multicultural (Re)Insurance Association

Mission: MRIA is a global platform where ideas become actionable. A place to bring a new perspective to diversity, equity, and inclusion for the (Re)Insurance industry. There are not many opportunities for people with diverse backgrounds to have a seat at the table, so we decided to build a new table. This table is built to bring insight, solutions, and direction to underrepresented individuals where they can develop connections with people of power with the intent of creating progress in the industry. MRIA is a network focused on connecting, supporting, and empowering the underrepresented. Purpose: The purpose of MRIA is to expand its national movement to the global stage within the (Re)Insurance industry. We want to inspire and cultivate an environment where the underrepresented within the (Re)Insurance industry can be supported by like-minded individuals while helping pave a path for the next generation. As we bring awareness to the many DEI initiatives within the industry, we will provide networking opportunities, helping advance young professionals, and bringing awareness to the various resources available to them. Objective: The objective of MRIA is to collaborate, network, and reimagine the idea of inclusion by turning it into a hub of diversification. We want to create change by forming partnerships with companies and industry organizations that are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. MRIA is a platform for unification, we believe that power grows when it is shared. MRIA is more than an organization, it’s a table with room that expands beyond those that look like us, a place for all those who share in the belief that through diversification, we create unification.
