MRS, Medway Residential Lettings Agency based in Medway, officially opened on the 10 October 2010 and are situated at 361 High Street, Rochester; between Featherstone House and Cycle King and can be contacted at their office on 01634 408840 or via email at info@mrs.plus MRS Management and staff have over 30 years experience in Sales and Lettings between them, and have been associated with many Local Agents and local Housing Services. MRS was set up with the purpose of offering a first class Landlord Service, well-maintained properties and an excellent Tenancy Support System. The Staff are fully trained in all aspects of property management and tenancy relations and have already completed training for the new Housing Benefit Legislation, which takes effect from April 2011, and have recently been accredited under the Kent Landlords Accreditation Scheme No 021027, which is recognised by Medway Council. They inspect properties they manage at the outset to ensure they comply with HHSRS (Housing Health & Safety Rating System) standards and make sure Tenants have homes to a decent standard and also that repairs are completed in a timely fashion. They also check rents are paid and up to date, but should tenants experience difficulties within their tenancies MRS can assist them with referrals to specialist teams offering floating support, also helping with such things as housing benefits, utilities, and dealing with the Council, and any other tenancy related issue. MRS can also put Tenants in touch with interpreters, who can help them to understand the tenancy procedures and help deal with housing benefit paperwork, should English not be their first language.
