Upon relocating in 2013 from Sacramento, California to Norfolk, Virginia, Proprietor Joan Wilkening wanted to develop a unique shopping destination full of all the funky, eclectic, re-purposed and up-cycled collections that filled the homes of Joan, her friends and her quirky little shop in California. And, she wanted a fun and memorable name that left a smile on your face; thus Mrs. Pinkadot was born. Joan invited talented DIY’ers, painters, crafters and Vintage collectors to join her as vendors in Mrs. Pinkadot. She also found quality consignments, got busy painting furniture and scoured the countryside for rusty relics, salvage and funky castoffs to fill Mrs. Pinkadot.
