mstudiowest|matthew mcfarland Matt McFarland is known for his keen eye for architectural detail, his technical knowledge of lighting, and passionate enthusiasm. His photographs are exceptional. Matt began his career over twenty years ago shooting ads, editorials, people, travel, and architecture. Over the last decade, he has focused on corporate architecture. His clients include Clayco Construction, HOK Architecture, Arcturis, S.M. Wilson & Co., McCarthy Building Company, Paric Corportion, Rockefeller Group, Mackey Mitchell Architects, Hagadone, Hilton, Commerce Bank, H & R Block, Wells Fargo, and Sprint. Resorts include Fiji, Baja, Aspen, and Big Horn of Palm Dessert. Magazines include Dwell Magazine, Architectural Record, and Harper’s Bazaar. Matt’s clients consistently remark that Matt has a unique ability to work with all aspects of the project: He communicates and collaborates with CEOs, architects, designers, interior designers, engineers, builders, and front-line workers. He manages art direction, translates clients’ vision into imagery, and seamlessly weaves the various facets of the project into a visual story. Matt received the honor, ‘Image of The Year’ in The Engineering News Record’s Annual Photo Contest. Matt’s love of travel, design, building, and architecture began in childhood through the eyes of his mother, a designer, when he was exposed to a variety of environments, peoples, and architecture and inspired by color, texture, light, structure and landscape. When Matt is not behind the camera, he can be found driving his vintage convertible, chasing wind and waves, and engaged in adventures with his two creative children.
