MTD was founded by Research Scientist, Naturopath and Professor of Dermatology, Professor Michael Tirant. Prof. Tirant is a world recognised leader in the field of Integrative Dermatology, having published over 100 international papers and authored/co-authored several chapters and books on Dermatological Conditions. Prof. Tirant's passion for helping those with skin conditions developed after watching a dear friend suffer with psoriasis and endure countless failed treatments. This inspired Prof. Tirant to to use his skills as a research scientist to help find a solution to her suffering. Over 30 years later, his research has led to a Professorship of Dermatology in 3 international university hospitals, a successful Holistic Dermatology practice and an internationally recognised treatment range and protocol for psoriasis, eczema and many other chronic skin conditions. Prof. Tirant has since trained hundreds of practitioners in his unique Integrative protocols around the globe.
