Established in 2004, MTCS (UK) Ltd are specialists in competence certification and training for personnel involved in safety-critical activities in the energy sector. MTCS’ certification provides clients with the reassurance that their personnel have been deemed competent by an internationally recognised independent body. A fully accredited assessment and training centre, MTCS provide operational, technical and supervisory training to the offshore industry. The majority of our courses focus on subsea Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) as used in the oil & gas, nuclear and renewables industries. MTCS also work with clients to enhance the quality of their existing in-house training and competence management programmes. This typically includes skills assessor training, trainer training and external verification of assessment. Our training courses include introductory training for personnel wishing to embark on a career in the offshore industry. We also offer specialist safety and technical courses for personnel working in the ROV industry and wishing to enhance their existing skills within the competence framework. Competence management is an integral part of all offshore tenders and therefore a priority for all organisations in the sector. MTCS specialise in the assessment of competence for personnel in line with industry and trade association guidelines. We provide competence management programmes, certification and supporting documentation to meet the requirements of the ROV, diving, hydrographic survey and marine industries in-line with guidelines laid down by the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA).
