Founded in 1994, MTL specialises in engineering design and project management for renewable energy, water infrastructure and industrial projects. MTL’s head office is located in New Zealand, a country which has considerable renewable generation resources primarily Geothermal and Hydro. MTL has developed considerable experience servicing these industries and others for more than 25 years within New Zealand and Internationally. With a team of mechanical, civil and structural engineers, designers and project managers, MTL is able to assist Clients to develop and deliver solutions through all project phases. The team is passionate about engineering and producing practical detailed engineering designs. MTL has completed projects throughout Australasia, the Asia-Pacific Regions and within Africa acting in varied roles from Owner’s Engineer, to lead Design Engineer, Commissioning Engineer and as Project Managers. With over 200 projects completed for some clients, MTL values building and maintaining long term relationships with clients. The numerous repeat projects carried out for clients is evidence of this. Geothermal engineering design is a speciality of MTL’s with experience in designing and commissioning Geothermal Power Stations and Steamfields. From pipe stressing design of overland steam pipework to specification and procurement support of power station balance of plant, MTL have the skills and track record in this specialist industry. MTL are unique in that they have experience in both designing and commissioning geothermal power stations.
